You will love reading this book - A historical fiction of the Japanese internment camps during WWII with the grandeur of love, romance, legacy, Samurai and Japanese heritage with the question of God and the reality of the spiritual realm.
The novel unfolds revealing Greg, his life and past, as the author captures each time period of his life well. Greg’s conversations with his friends and his own self-doubt being a Japanese American experiencing his own subculture being Japanese, which has caused Greg to question his own self-worth stemming from teenage years. Feeling culturally divided coupled with the trauma he had to endure throughout his growing up years, he feels displaced culturally. “He felt as though he were a pioneer or explorer, out to hack his way through the wilderness of the identity question.” (p. 11) This is just an example of the writer’s way of conveying this mental tug-of-war within the main character, Greg.
From a Christian perspective, the novel speaks on Greg’s personal reflections upon God, His existence and why bad things happen upon the Earth without cramming the Christian religion down one’s throat. This is much appreciated as the author gives enough information and Scripture to just make readers “think for themselves.”
Greg, as a staunch humanist, spends time with his four friends at their poker games that reveal much conversation about God. The book reveals a dark past for Greg and his family, being of Japanese descent during WWII and the horror of the camps. Their only crime, being Japanese, Greg reveals the loss of a family heirloom, in which he goes searching for. The epic continues as Greg and his family survive a shipwreck on an island, which ends up giving them life amid their tragedy. This book is a movie in the making with a dreamy, mysterious, and memorable title!
With a beautiful ending, surprises and twists along the way, the book keeps the attention of readers. I was hooked from chapter one. The beautiful descriptions of the lake and the cultural tensions that the Japanese experienced during the time of WWII provide an interesting backdrop. The author gives readers a true appreciation for family, love, patriotism, combined with dark overtones of racism prevalent during the WWII era, while also sharing Christianity in such a way that makes sense, giving equity a voice.
An absolutely fascinating novel with an epic title made for the big screen!

Hope Through Repentance
The Seduction of Proverbs 7: Reloaded by Dr. Timothy O. is a powerful life-changing book giving keen insight from Proverbs 7 – The Warning Against the Adulterous Woman.

These laws are set forth by God and have consequences that are universal. But don’t despair! This in inspirational and a simple read into the taboo subject of sex beyond the boundaries of marriage that is thoughtfully written.
His book sheds light into an understanding of sexual temptation dynamics based upon the Bible, to include the moral and ethical bond of marriage. He refers to this as “wisdom for seduction,” stating, “This wisdom is hidden in one of the overlooked seduction stories of the Bible - Proverbs.”
If you have gone astray, had sex outside of marriage, he gives hope “repentance” and the seeking of godly wisdom. The author is honest, upfront, and candid in this matter of sex and promiscuity. The author does not compromise, yet lovingly offers readers the honest truth in a simple form, as he dissects each section of the Proverb. This aids in great understanding of what the Scripture is speaking and teaching.
For readers that don’t already know about the book of Proverbs, it is a book on wisdom for life. Proverbs 7 is written for a reason. The outcome is trembling and fearful – not following God’s ways will only lead one to death. It’s that simple. The author spurs the readers to understand this wisdom from the Bible. And yes, Proverbs 7 may be ancient, yet the rules haven’t changed – they apply to all across the globe and the principles of the Bible have stood the test of time and these laws that govern spiritual and physical matter are unwavering no matter your ethnicity, family background or your bank account. The warning is the same.

Then both are off again – this time to the jungles of South America. The two travelers begin to answer questions as to the reason why that island sank; this leads them to Canada. The untouched Artic tundra to be exact.
The Gospel message and salvation is intertwined within the book. Meanwhile their Christian faith brings hope. David teaches his son lessons, deep lessons about love, God’s creation and why God had to allow evil. These are much appreciated answers without complicated theology. The way David answers just makes sense.
This is a wholesome adventure recommended for young boys and girls above the age of twelve and comes highly recommended as a scientific, Earth-Science and Christian-based novel that gives the desire to explore different places throughout the world. One might even have a map handy, as these two travel quite extensively.

Believing the Vision
Why do we read throughout the Bible about men re- ceiving visions from God, and don't question it? Why do we hear someone tell us they have received a vision from the Lord, and we think they've lost it?
If we believe we have received something from God, truly believe, whether it is through visions, dreams, or a still soft spoken voice and the contents can be confirmed as biblically sound. Then chances are we have received a true vision from God! This wonderful manifestation of God's glory and power can only be brought to it's fullness through belief.

A Glimpse of the Glory of God
Often we speak words without considering the depth of their meaning or the consequence of the outcome. Even words of value can often cause unexpected results. As we cry out to the Lord asking Him to show us His glory have we taken into consideration what it is to be shown even a glimpse of the glory of God? So few have ever stood in the glory of his presence, and those who have are so overcome with the reflection of themselves compared to his glory that they are stricken with grief and remorse beyond anything they have ever known before. What started out as a great expectation of a divine revelation, soon becomes the revealing of the contents of the human heart and the vanity there of.

Testimony About the Anointing
I would like to give a testimony about my oldest son and the power of Gods anointing.
MY son and I have always had a special relationship. We love each other very much. I had very little contact with him while I was incarcerated. But he could hardly wait for the day I would come home. It was his plan to be there the day I got released. He couldn't be there the exact day but within three week after I had gotten home he forsook all his obligations in Florida; job, bills, etc. and came to Oklahoma to see me. When he got here he wasn't ready for the changes which had taken place in my life because I had surrender to God's will. He didn't really know anything about the Lord, because I didn't teach him. Children are a product of their raising. Without going into detail the visit ended badly, after a few choice words he parted returning to Florida. He called and apologized for his behavior and over the course of this past year we have had a very distant relationship as we have slowly tried to repair the breech.
Due to my belief in the anointing he has poured out through me into the pages of this book, and feeling directed by the Lord, I sent him a copy of one of the proof copies of "Daydreams and Night Visions" before it was ever released. To my amazement he was very excited about the prospect of reading it. We where in close contact as we traced it through the mail and right up until he received it. Then nothing! Days went by and I hadn't heard anything. I felt as though he may have read it and thought; "Ya, he really has lost it!" And about that time I received this email;
I've read all of the parts but the poems, starting of them today. You amaze me dad. You really are serious about this, lately I've been kind of lost mission you, trying to find myself and looking for advice. I've realized that I am identical to a man you once knew (the old you). In the short time that has past since 12/28/11 ,the day I received this email, until now 1/7/12 there has been even more progress as the Lord tugs on his heart. He has taken the first steps toward receiving Christ as his savior. If this can happen to me and to my son, there truly isn't anyone the Lord can't reach.
MY son and I have always had a special relationship. We love each other very much. I had very little contact with him while I was incarcerated. But he could hardly wait for the day I would come home. It was his plan to be there the day I got released. He couldn't be there the exact day but within three week after I had gotten home he forsook all his obligations in Florida; job, bills, etc. and came to Oklahoma to see me. When he got here he wasn't ready for the changes which had taken place in my life because I had surrender to God's will. He didn't really know anything about the Lord, because I didn't teach him. Children are a product of their raising. Without going into detail the visit ended badly, after a few choice words he parted returning to Florida. He called and apologized for his behavior and over the course of this past year we have had a very distant relationship as we have slowly tried to repair the breech.
Due to my belief in the anointing he has poured out through me into the pages of this book, and feeling directed by the Lord, I sent him a copy of one of the proof copies of "Daydreams and Night Visions" before it was ever released. To my amazement he was very excited about the prospect of reading it. We where in close contact as we traced it through the mail and right up until he received it. Then nothing! Days went by and I hadn't heard anything. I felt as though he may have read it and thought; "Ya, he really has lost it!" And about that time I received this email;
I've read all of the parts but the poems, starting of them today. You amaze me dad. You really are serious about this, lately I've been kind of lost mission you, trying to find myself and looking for advice. I've realized that I am identical to a man you once knew (the old you).
